PA - Erre Coalition -Search and Rescue.. sorta

There was no land in sight, and there hadn't been for several hours ever since Meiron and Kovaithe had entered the watery Chronoscape portal; this particular entrance and subsequent space was notorious for messing with navigation and many a traveler had become lost in its depts, or injured across the many earther spires with jutted from waters.... impossible to scale. Had this area not been such an expanse of water and spears of earth, Meiron may of been tempted to bring Merc, but the hatchling was simply too young nor did he yet have the stamina needed for these sort of excursions.  Kovaithe flew far above her large wings spread and using the thermals to minimize her stamina usage, Meiron swam in the deep blue waters, his fin cutting through the currently calm waters as they scouted the watery landscape; word had come through from the Coalition of a ship becoming lost, a small vessel on its way to visit family on the isles of Eredia; the land bound family worrying.

Meiron surfaced momentarily, lifting his shark head above the water his eyes scanning the area for the vessel... and muttering the entire time. Truthfully he'd resigned himself to these tasks when they cropped up, the reward now far outweighing the time spent on them... though he did have to suffer the elder randomly appearing in his den as a result. "Any sign." He asked Kovaithe whose form had momentarily disappeared from sight. When he got no response, his tail swept more powerfully, aware of the direction his dragon was in... while it would of been quicker to shift to a gryphon, he needed to get more 'settled' in the shark form.... though startling his mate was far to much fun especially when no one expected a shark in a hot spring.

Koviathe didn't doubt her rider would head her way and she'd spotted something on the horizon, away from any of the teeth that had pierced the sea and skyline closer to the entrance, still she knew better than to fly to fast, Afterall she had no where to land to recover. Her eyes narrowed as the spotted the broken mast of the small ship. "We're friends, my rider is coming soon"' She called out as she neared the ship, and then started circling, catching sight of the navy fin heading there way, the waters behind breaking with the powerful sweep of the sharks tail.

The cat had spotted Koviathe's form and the small ship, as well as the slight cries of panic as they spotted a shark fin, diving under he vanished from sight, shifting form back the cat bestia as he neared it, and pulling himself up, much to their startlement. "The portal is that way." He commented, shaking himself, his sharp gaze noting no injuries, nor any other damage to the vessel. When they didn't move, he narrowed his eyes, and sat on the edge. "Even without the mast you should be able to reach it." He said, "My dragon will lead the way..... "   Kovaithe snorted, her amusement apparent... her rider was certainly not who many would think would come anyone's rescue, especially not with how he spoke. Ignoring her, Meiron stared at them all. "Well? don't you have family waiting?" The travelers glanced at one another and then back at the bestia and his dragon. They were wary, usually those who rescued others would be more well... nice... and sympathetic... not.... well .. this. "I'd much rather get back before that portal closes. " The cat spoke, his irritation starting to show. 

Not wanting to irritate their 'savior' any more they began working together to get the boat turned and limping after the dragon who causally led them through the watery expanse. It was slow going, and made more stressful by the navy cat lounging on their ship, and yet, the dragon led them true, through the portal...and towards the distant shore where family was waiting.
