[Gift] The 11th Hour | Ornaments
Wonderful, truly wonderful, they were absolutely adorable at times and sometimes it was a little hard for Levi to take. He was happy at least some of his dragons were wholesome with partners to spend their time with instead of terrorizing the neighbors and even towns far away. He glanced around to see if he could spot the main dragon he was talking about and he did indeed find her, lounging like she wasn’t the biggest nightmare Levi owned. She yawned, glancing up a bit as if sensing her rider's attitude but she didn’t respond. Levi turned his attention away from her, this wasn’t about his relationship with Gremlin but a different dragon of his, Nox and his girlfriend Bunting.
It was a little chilly, snowing slightly but Nox was sure that come the next day the snow would be melted and then the next day it would freeze. That didn’t seem to bother the two dragons that Levi was watching whatsoever, in fact the weather seemed to make them a little more excited although Levi was sure he could see the smaller of the two dragons shiver every once in a while but Nox made up being cold by snuggling close to Bunting whenever he got a little too cold. Bunting didn’t seem to mind however, in fact she seemed extra happy whenever the green noodle got a little closer to her. When he wasn’t being cold he was flying around her, chittering about something excitedly and she seemed to chatter back at him. Levi couldn’t quite make up what they were saying but they seemed happy and that was all that mattered. For a few moments they were content in each other’s company and then like a light bulb going off Nox jolted, the emotion surged through the bond throwing Levi off for a moment. “I’ll be right back!” He nuzzled his spiky face into her soft one and flew off, wiggling through the air as if he was swimming in the ocean.
When the small scarf-like dragon returned, carrying something in his mouth, and something in his front paws, he smiled with excitement before gently placing the items gently on her horns. It took Levi a moment to realize what it was, ornaments, they were ornaments, beautiful round baubles of wondrous colors and designs. Nox must have put in quite a bit of thought and effort to make them. They sat atop her small horns, shimmering every time she turned her head, rattling against each other with a satisfying rustling noise. “I love them!” She all but squealed before pushing her snout into him, although nothing would be able to properly convey how much joy she felt at receiving such a gift. She would have to get him something in return, oh yes, and his would be even better than the one she received! As excited as she was Levi knew the greatest gift she could give Nox was simply herself and all the love she currently harbored in her colorful body.
