[Gift] The 11th Hour | Dream
The water churned in great tides as something large and dark swam through it like a knife in butter. The beast was quiet, blending into the sea water with ease, no practice necessary. Seaweed clung to the creature's body, further helping her blend into the water, especially if she wasn’t moving. Her body was a deep green, splotched with a rusty color, her head garnished with a wondrous neck frill and sharp teeth protruding from her angular snout. She was something of beauty and on top of that she was gentle, which seemed to sometimes be an impossible matchup. She pondered to herself as she moved, thinking back on when she had awoken with a start. It was a strange dream, not quite a dream the sea beast could ever remember having and perhaps this dream would slip away, hiding from memory until she had it again and the cycle of not remembering but still having it would begin again.
Something in her nagged that perhaps this wasn’t a dream but an omen of catastrophe, which she seemed to understand was something ocean magic could do but if it was potentially something so important why was it beginning to slip away?
She paused in her movements, thinking hard, trying to grip any part of the memory before it was truly fully gone. She clutched at it with all her mind but it was too slippery, too sly to be caught this time. She huffed a sound of what might have been exasperation before shrugging to herself. If it was something truly important then she would have remembered it, surely.
