Hmm...
She was beautiful, even from the distance he had seen her from, he could tell. She was a dusty brown and grey, with darker rosettes across her body, a club of crystal and a mask to match. Her mane was long and luxurious, clear blue eyes like a perfect sky, all together she was a work of art. He matched her in some ways, primarily the dusty brown grey color he sported. But unlike her he had white patches, white stripes, the mask of a cockatiel bird and a pale yellow feathered crest to match. He expected her to be wary of him, fearful perhaps but what he hadn’t expected was for her to challenge him, like he wasn’t at least 6 times her size. It had shocked him so much that it had forced him to take steps back away from her. His crest lifted in surprise and the celestial on his back lifted up, seeming to spike like a bristling cat in a way. His tail made a quick motion to keep him balanced and the force of it sent a strong wind somewhere off behind him.
He tilted his head just slightly, yes she had challenged him, even spooked him a little but she hadn’t done much after that. He watched as she tossed her head just a little to get her mane away from her face before sitting down to watch God. Ah. She was testing him but for what he did not know. He let a deep rumble slip as he pondered what to do next and while she felt it, she did not let it show. This was not his courtship, nor would it be his last but this was definitely his most challenging. Others he seemed to get a read on but not Bitxi. Then the idea struck, something more grand than his other courtships. He had done this only once before, with a kind dragon but he hoped it would work with Bitxi. “I will return.” His voice was a deep rumble all itself and for just a second Bitxi seemed to react to it before quickly pushing the reaction away. He left her, disappearing for quite some time and for a moment the beautiful dragon wondered if he had simply forgotten about her. Then she heard it, the loud thundering footsteps of the massive dragon, as if making sure to announce to her that he was coming, not that she would miss him even without the loud steps.
“Come…” God got what was perhaps in unamused eye brow lift and he quickly corrected himself. “Please…” That was more like it. She stood, deliberately slow, as if she wasn’t really interested in anything this dragon could offer her and perhaps she really wasn’t. He led her to an area that was open and yet somehow well hidden. In the middle of the small area sat a nest, a nest that looked incredibly soft and inviting and she noticed something else about the nest. It glittered, the light of the sun hit the nest so perfectly that the gemstones he had lined it with shimmered in it. When she got closer, to see what exactly the gems were she noticed that there were crystals that matched her mask and tail. There were also bright blue gems that matched her eyes absolutely perfectly. Where had he gotten all these in such a short amount of time? She eyed it carefully, tilted her head ever so slightly, not willing to let on that it was a very pretty nest. She watched God out of the corner of her eye and smiled to herself at his look of concern.
