[Gift] The 11th Hour | Love

The size difference between these two dragons was astronomical, uncomfortably really and the fact they had kids was even more so. He was a powerful dragon, all muscle and some brains, but muscle forward one might say. He was a creature of great proportions, quiet and deadly. He defended his territory with utmost importance, often against his own foolish children but alas, he sorta loved his children but not as much as their mother. Gosh he adored her, more than any other dragon could possibly adore another. In a way she was his everything, without her life was dull and he was bitter, not that he wasn’t bitter now but with her he was sweet. Sweet in a way that no other dragon or rider had experienced. He rumbled quietly to himself, wondering where his mate had gone but he knew really pondering would do him no good. Speedy was as free as the wind and as fast as a whip and compared to him she was tiny. He could squash her with one foot but she was an earth dragon and her strength far surpassed his and that was all the more reason to love her. He knew that she shared the same love for him as he did her, after all why would she stay with him? Having multiple clutches if not for love?

He let out a sigh, a quiet noise, a noise of longing, longing for his mate to return but hoping that she would return soon would be an unwise hope.
