MAgic Tier 1 - Darkness and shapeshifting

Despite her heritage as a dark dragon, dark magic was not really something she'd played about with, no, her focus was on the fire, the blazing fury of flames that burned and destroyed... still... she was in a bit of quandary.. much to the amusement of her rider who's tail twitched. "Well you did charge into the ruin thinking it was clear... so why are you surprised that it is falling apart and trapped you.?" The navy cat, currently in said cat form commented, her companion at least was trying to get her out. She hissed at him, her fires flaring... but did nothing, it wasn't that she couldn't move no... more there was no room her current size to fit through, either forward or backwards. "Some rider you are." She growled, but there was no actual venom in her voice, she had been racing her companion and said companion was a fraction of her size. The navy cat yawned, stretching. Oh Suzaku knew that if she was truly in trouble, Meiron would help, he wasn't that that much of a jerk..... at least not with dragons, people.. different story. Still the concept of playing with dark magic kept surfacing, she'd seen Abyss shift, from the massive form that was her usual size to a much smaller one.... How hard could it be?

Quite hard it turned out, every time she tried to pull on the dark magic within that she could sense the fire magic surged, far more instinctive than the dark..... and the walls pressed closer ..... Breathing in she focused on  Meiron's form, the cat shape as familiar to her as herself, or his bestia form......and then on the darkness, calming herself away from the blazing fire that could consume she felt for the darkness around... and her form rippled, solid scales blueish scales shifting to black and momentarily losing their shape.... only for it to re-solidify as a drop of water landed on her snout. "Ugh... really?" She snarled, dark caves yes, wet caves... no ... not at all. The cat before her cackled, his tail flicking a again.. and her companion gone... into the nice warm dryness beyond the ruin. "Traitor." When a second droplet hit her she groaned, and returned to focusing... she'd already realized at this point that the dark magic flowed and was affected by other emotions.

Meiron dozed as Suzaku continued to test the dark magic, each attempt affecting more of her body... but her concentration kept breaking whenever a droplet hit her. Still, she was getting there...

Muttering about unfeeling felines and traitorous companions Suzaku tried once more, her breathing calm and centered, and her focus absolute, though not flinching from the droplet took everything.... she had, but was worth it, her form losing its solidness as the darkness took over, her flames still visible as she shifted form, settling into a cat like variation..... but with her markings and colors... though.. minus the wings... she had however kept the feathered crest, given her a Mohawk. But above all, she was now small enough to creep forward and next to her rider... who was the same size as her... and now fast asleep... as another droplet fell. She should leave him... should... oh it was so tempting... but she wanted to play with her dark magic now that she'd figured it out. Her form quivering again, but this time she kept the same shape, just.. larger... large enough that she could carry Meiron much like a mother cat..... to be met by a navy paw... "Don't even think about it." Her rider commented, coming awake and starring at the larger cat.... whose phoenix fires continued to flare across them both.... Suzaku very distinctively herself despite the cat features.
