Lets go hunting.. in a forest...

Suzaku snarled as her wings once more tangled on the thick overgrowth as the forest, her prey bounding out of sight for now..... Snapping and lashing she struck out at the vines, thick and entwined and annoying that snagged her mid flight.... below another dragon paused looking up worry on her face. Muttering, she focused on the dark magic, it coming much easier now as her body melted past the vines before reshaping itself into a less form much more suited to the forest, a large and powerful cat.... though with all her markers, a feathered mohawk... and her flames. "That did not go well." She said to her companion, Bitxi chuckled a bit now that she knew her companion wasn't hurt. "You're getting much better with your dark magic though."  Suzaku shook herself., before glancing over at the raptor like dragon. "Can you still spot them?" She wasn't the only one working on her magic, Bitxi was playing, trying to improve her metal magic... one of which was aura reading. "Not the prey no." She responded, her focus turning northwards, where she could make out an aura so akin to Suzaku's but smaller...... the others companion continuing to chase. "But i believe your companion is following them." Suzaku snorted, she'd didn't always track her smaller friend, and Bitxi's aura reading was far more accurate than her own sense of her companion. "Shall we?"

Though it was Bitxi tracking the companion and their prey, Suzaku led the way, using not only her sharp eyes, but her dark magic to traverse the dark forest, though the vines were less common down on the green carpeted ground, other obstacles, such as fallen trees and rocks. Closer and closer, until Bitxi could now see the aura of the tapirs they'd been hunting, and she nudged Suzaku with her paw, her mental voice, unsure yet and quiet to tell Suzaku of the preys location; the cat-like dragon nodding in response, silent as the darkness around them, her flames flickering from sight. Nearby her companion waited.

The darkness continued to sink deeper into the forest, as the dragons waited for the tapir herd to settle... for they'd been on edge having been chased by Suzaku earlier. Finally they settled, and then Suzaku struck... not with her own self, no she sent her companion forwards to strike at the other edge, wrapping her dark magic to make her companion seem much bigger.... and forcing the herd towards her and Bitxi. The herd panicked, the darkness masking the more dangerous threats. Bitxi went low, her body far more powerful then it would seem, took out two, before avoiding the press coming her way, able to see their aura's. Suzaku was far more aggressive, she struck a cat like snarl in her throat as she tore through the herd, killing with ease... and maybe there was a little bit of frustration mixed in..... well... it made her more efficient, and while this form was smaller than her true, it was adapted to hunting..... Her companion, not to be left out had decided to take out the mice that had surfaced amidst the frenzy

By the time the herd had dispersed, the two dragons had a decent haul... 7 beasts they'd taken down....... though neither made any move, too busy watching with interest the fierceness that Suzaku's companion wrought ...well at least against the mice population in the jungle. Eventually she settled, and mouse by mouse added to the pile Bitxi and Suzaku had created, her small chest puffed out as her flames flickered wildly as Suzaku's own flames re-appeared, a more natural state for her.
