[Gift] FOTN - Blessing

"P-pppleeease,a blessssing.. We can.." A hoof stamped down, the sound echoing of the temple and silence ensured. Above the cowering erre the Horned God looked out onto the small crowd that had gathered. They were a god, and treated as such, and while they did bestow blessings, it was not to anyone and everyone. Their ageless voice echoed, aloof yet regal. "You seek a blessing? A gift from a god? for what, prostrating yourself with no gifts and empty worship?" No one blinked, fear and awe silencing them all as the Horned God spoke, their crown of eyes around their horns sweeping over them. No pity, nothing… they were nothing to Horned God… to be swept beneath their wings. With a  wave of their hand, the crowd dispersed, and the Horned God reclined on the worn throne that resided in the chamber, genderless, ageless…. Flowers trailing over their arms.

It was later when the Horned God stirred once more, a singular, small entity had appeared, kneeling in front of them … ah… this one. "Divine one, I have reached out the villages beyond, spoke of your benevolent and might, and they have sent a gift, already a shrine has been crafted." A box placed, simple at first,  with secrets yet to be told. The Horned God eyed them, a disciple; one who truly worshipped them. "You have done well. A blessing." A single orange petal was held out, the Horned Gods power lingering. "Continue to spread work of me, and you will be rewarded." Already they could feel the old temple stirring as the power of worship fed into it… the god who once held this place de-throned as the Horned God ascended…
