Adventurer

PREREQUISITE: Complete one caving, salvaging, hunting, or gathering activity alongside a dragon companion. For Riders, it must be a dragon that belongs to them. For Independent dragons, it may be either a dragon within the group , any Rider, or one of their official Familiars.

Novice Adventurer

  • Character and their dragons gain +1 to their base yield on their Adventures.*

Trained Adventurer

  • Character and their dragons gain +2 to their base yield on their Adventures.*

Master Adventurer

  • Character and their dragons gain +3 to their base yield on their Adventures.*

* The inverse is true for Independent dragons, should they have a Rider: their Rider will bring back extra item(s) when depicted with their dragon. In the event that they share a job, the bonus does not stack. An Independent dragon's prompt bonus does not apply to any other dragons.

Unlocking and Promotions

For unlocking or promoting the job, pick any of the prompts below. Each promotion should use a different prompt.

Show your character finding a big haul! It should be so big or heavy that there’s no way to carry it all home. Show your character recovering materials from a ghost town or abandoned settlement. Create a map of unknown lands. Show them selling or crafting with bones, fur, or other hunting goods that they have gathered.
Show your character hunting or gathering without the assistance of a companion. No other characters should be in the art piece. Go on a weeks-long journey between two distant locations. Discover the source of strange magic the dragons sense nearby. Go alone or with their dragon to hunt large game. Large game includes: Keo, Tombre, feral Gryphons, feral Dragons, giant sloths, mammoths, a pack of cave hyenas, megalania, or a quinkana.
There’s a map, riddle, or prophecy that appears to lead to some fabled treasure. Have your Rider seek out that treasure! Someone put a bounty on a pest or weed nearby! Show your Rider tracking them down and dispatching them. By now, your Rider is familiar with hidden treasure. Show them seeking out a ‘legendary’ item somewhere buried in the sand, in a cave, or underwater–and getting past all the tricks and traps on the way! Seek out a legendary plant with amazing properties…that happens to grow someplace dangerous.
