Breeder

PREREQUISITE: At least one of their dragons must have their Grand Display completed. For Independent Dragons wanting a Wingmate job, they must have parented at least one clutch of eggs. In the event that an Independent Dragon becomes a Breeder (commonly called a Wingmates), its benefits only affect its own clutches.

Novice Breeder

  • All hatchlings of your Rider’s dragon will receive at least two display traits if two display traits are active on the parents.

Trained Breeder

  • All hatchlings of Rider’s dragon will receive at least two display traits if two display traits are active on the parents. All hatchlings will receive at least two modifier traits if two modifier traits are active on the parents.

Master Breeder

  • All hatchlings Rider’s dragon will receive at least two display traits if two display traits are active on the parents. All hatchlings will receive at least two modifier traits if two modifier traits are active on the parents. Markings that match a parent element decrease by one tier in rarity.

Unlocking and Promotions

For unlocking or promoting the job, pick any of the prompts below. Each promotion should use a different prompt.

Show your Rider taking care of a dragon couple. For Wingmates, show them caring for a prospective mate. Make preparations for some new eggs in the Hatchery! As the brooding dragon is occupied, their mate prepares supplies and food for the hatchlings. Have your character help them out. An orphaned egg has been making noise for a while, but its Rider is nowhere in sight. Go find them! Some dragons have preferred breeding grounds. Help a dragon migrate to its favorite place so it can make a nest.
Show your character setting up their Hatchery or nesting grounds for their dragon. For Wingmates, show them setting up a Hatchery for a mate. An unknown illness strikes a dragon, rendering them unable to lay eggs. If they manage to lay any healthy eggs at all, it leaves them winded. Show your character helping this dragon recover. Wingmates must treat another dragon, rather than themselves. A dragon is seeking a mate, but can't find the perfect match. Show your character helping them find a match. Research the family history of a dragon and discover something new about their heritage.
Riders will sometimes have work to attend to before they can become a full-time companion to their dragon. Draw your character babysitting some particularly rambunctious hatchlings while their usual guardian is unavailable. Show your character helping a runt that’s having difficulty adjusting. Help a dragon improve its courting behavior. This can be learning to dance, sing, write, create a nest, do magic, or whatever else they believe a mate would want. Show your character reuniting lost lovers. They might have been platonic to start with (such as childhood friends), or they might have history together (such as one night stands or exes). Who they unite and how is up to you.
