To reclaim what ice has taken - Meeth Adventurer unlock

While the fort Meeth and Mercy called home was generally cold, it held nothing to the freezing lands north of the mountains; thick layers of snow covered ice, and the wind was shards against any travelers foolish enough to traverse the winterscape. Which raised the question as to why they would be this far north on a dark and starry night. "Do you see it?" Meeth asked the hatchling, currently fluttering in the winds in front of her, his energy off-setting the cold. Mercy cackled, chasing a snow flurry before answering. "Yep." His antennae angled forward as the winds eased for a moment, to reveal what had once been a thriving town, even this far north... though that had been before the most recent winters which had changed it to inhospitable place it now was... that and the sudden freeze which had turned everything to ice. Still those who had once called it home had raised a request for someone to come through and recover materials and other things they had not been able to take at the time, if it had thawed somewhat. Meeth had accepted, for the cold simply did not bother her the same way as many, heat though...

"Careful." She cautioned as she approached the icicle covered buildings, some of the icicle's many times larger and wider than either her or Mercy, and dangerous if one of them became dislodged as they moved under them. Mercy nodded, his gaze moving across the area, for even in the snow it was possible to see the towns layout, a central square, a larger building, and inn maybe, to the smaller huts and even now it seemed to give of a homely vibe. Turning as he heard Meeth shatter the frozen door, her soul sword gleaming in the darkness. "What are we looking for?" The hatchling asked following behind. "Metals and ores, both refined and not. Before the temperatures dropped so much they were miners, digging out the veins from the mountains. Also any tools if they still look to be usable." If they'd continued north beyond the towns perimeters they would reach the entrance. 

Mercy nodded, leaving Meeth to look around this building, his young mind trying to work out where they would be, Maybe the largest building that wasn't the inn... for he could make out the sign, snorting in dark laughter at the name... The Frozen Miner. The building next to it though did not appear to be homestead, so maybe a storehouse... though finding a way to get in was no simple feat.

While Meeth had been aware of Mercy moving to explore elsewhere, her focus was on the frozen interior, her breath white as she looked around, using the light from her sword to help illuminate it. The former inhabitants had literally left in the middle of what they'd been doing, from what they'd told her a ocean dragon had forewarned them of the sudden, and deadly freeze which had ended this towns livelihood. As well as the resources in ores and other metals, they'd asked if it was possible to gather a few keepsakes, to which the carved bone held on the wall, covered with intricate etchings that told a story she felt fit into the category. With as much care as shes could, Meeth slowly worked at stripping the resources and keepsakes before meandering to the now sled they'd hiked this way, once it was full she'd summon Zeke to help tow it all back.

Mercy was slower to appear, not only had it taken him longer to get into the storehouse, the bags and crates of ores he'd found were simply too heavy for him as it was... so he used his stray thunder magic to literally melt the snow.... which then refroze to ice.. so he could simply slide it closer to the sled.  Together they piled the loot onto the sled, though it would be weeks before they could return to further reclaim the resources... for the town only thawed for a short period nowadays.
