Mink lives for admiration. Every flight, every roar of thunder, and every gust of wind is another chance to prove that he is the most impressive dragon in the sky. He is deeply vain, constantly aware of how others perceive him, and goes to great lengths to maintain an image of effortless confidence and power. If given the choice between doing something practical or doing something spectacular, he'll almost always choose the latter. He rarely enters or leaves a place quietly, preferring dramatic dives from the clouds, wings spread wide, with lightning flashing behind him. Whether anyone actually asked for the performance is beside the point. In Mink's mind, every entrance deserves an audience.
His storm magic is as theatrical as its owner. He delights in summoning swirling snow, booming thunder, and brilliant flashes of lightning simply because they make him look powerful. Unfortunately, his control over those storms hasn't caught up to his confidence. Strong emotions often send the weather spiraling beyond his intentions, turning harmless displays into violent squalls or unexpected blizzards. Rather than admitting he made a mistake, Mink is far more likely to pretend everything happened exactly as planned, even while scrambling to regain control. His pride makes accepting criticism almost impossible, and he would sooner exhaust himself trying to fix a situation alone than admit he needs help.
His Avalanche trait only feeds his vanity. Snow constantly follows him, gathering around his paws, wings, and tail as though winter itself refuses to leave his side. His mane is not fur at all, but a single solid mass of jagged, cracked ice that grows directly from his neck like a frozen crystal formation. Mink is meticulous about keeping it pristine. He regularly inspects it in reflective ice, frozen lakes, or even polished metal, making sure there isn't so much as a chip or scratch marring its appearance. He considers the icy mane his greatest feature and secretly believes it's one of the most beautiful traits any dragon could possess.
Although undeniably selfish, Mink isn't malicious. He simply sees the world through the lens of his own reputation. He measures success by how much attention he receives, often overlooking the efforts or accomplishments of those around him unless acknowledging them somehow benefits his own image. Heroic acts appeal to him less because they're noble and more because heroes are remembered. Compliments linger in his mind for days, while insults can fuel a grudge for months. Beneath all the vanity lies an insecure young dragon desperate to convince both others and himself that he deserves to stand among the legendary storm dragons of old. Until he matures, however, his greatest battle isn't mastering the weather, it's learning that true strength doesn't need an audience.
