Bound To

Den Theme: Jungle Temple

There was a thick tangle of trees, roots and vines, floor plants everywhere, green as far as the eye could see, which wasn’t very far considering how tightly packed the trees were. Ah! There was a wide path, an easy way through the jungle. A river followed, almost side by side the path but still vaguely hidden by the trees between it and the strange dirt path. In the river was a strange creature, born and black, with a cute little top-hat, swimming along beside the bath, rather happily. How the top hat stayed on when the snake-like dragon dipped below the surface was a mystery.

At the end of the long and winding path stood a beast, teal in color with sharp claws and even sharper teeth, a monstrous form to guard what lay behind it. The dragon’s tail smashed against the ground, a quiet warning but past him was a flight of many, many stone stairs. Next to the stairs was that same river, following up the stairs in small waterfalls, like steps of their own. The strange dragon in the water however was nowhere to be seen. Up the stairs was a temple, covered in ivy and moss that was slowly attempted to reclaim the rocky structure. The entrance was dark, almost as imposing as the dragon down below who guarded it. On the lip of the entrance sat another creature orangey yellow or was it perhaps brown and tan? A snake of a dragon with bug wings and a goopy body. It watched but it made no move to stop or even hinder the doorway into the temple. Inside the temple, that surely should have fallen to ruin was not a stone out of place. The temple inside and out had been very well taken care of and it showed.
