D-161: Koi's Den

Den Theme: Giant Magic Tree

It was wonderful, magnificent even, massive and imposing. As beautiful as it was big, and it was immense. It seemed to swamp the trees around it, the ponds, the rivers. It was a tree, an old and powerful one. At the top and at the tips of its branches were petals of glowing pinks and purples that would change colors with the season, as all other trees did but it never lost its leaves, its beauty. Some might call it a world tree but that wouldn’t be quite right for it wasn’t the only one in this vast world that she called home.

At the base of the tree there was an entrance of hanging Ivy and moss, creeping up the tree but not hindering its growth or life. Around the entrance was a colorful childish looking dragon, who lay curled up, tucked snuggly into a few tree roots. Inside the tree was a house of sorts, cozy and protected, cradled in the tree's loving embrace. Beside the giant tree ran a river, tiny in comparison but to the cat who called the tree home it was a wide big, she could swim in it if she so chose. Beside the river was a pale pink and white horse, limbs crafted of dyed clay and some metal. If you were to follow the river it would lead you to a large pool of water, clear as crystal, shimmering with sunlight and in it swam some sort of snake or was it a dragon? It was blue and colorful and content to be in its pond. If you were to follow the river past the pond, you would find yourself at an ocean of sorts where a pale yellow, rather chunky horse-like dragon lay, resting in the grass, just before the water.
