Personality: Taelo is fiercely territorial and takes his job as the guardian of his rider's den very seriously. He rarely leaves its boundaries unless absolutely necessary, preferring to stand watch where he knows every trail, scent, and hiding place. Strangers are met with suspicion first and aggression second.
Before attacking, Taelo gives one unmistakable warning: he slams his heavy, clubbed tail against the ground, walls, or nearby trees with enough force to make the entire den shake. The booming sound is his way of saying, leave now. Those who ignore it quickly discover the warning wasn't for show.
While intimidating to outsiders, Taelo is unwaveringly loyal to those he considers family. Once someone has earned his trust, they have a guardian willing to stand between them and anything foolish enough to threaten his home.
