Profile
R-374: Alder Poirot, P.I
Names: Alder Poirot
Nicknames: Detective (tba)
Canon job: Private Investigator/Detective.
Written description:
Age/Height: 30+ / Somewhat young adult. Stands at about 5'9
Eye colour: Forest Green
Fur colour/type: Alder's fur is short, smooth and a warm tan colour with pale cheek markings that go over his eyes and the underside of his tail. He has dark brown socks on his arms and legs similiar to Scorched on dragons, and while his hands may be hooved, he is incredibly dexterous with them. Even then, for small delicate movements, he might ask one his more thumb-posessing dragons to give him a hand. What you can see of his chest beneath his bow tie is pale like his cheaks, and he has a dark stripe down the back of his neck, following the line of his spine. He also had darker eartips, and almost white inner ears. His horns can grow into a white-deer like rack, but, mostly he keeps them short for agility (he's too lazy to take care of them as well as work on his cases). His belly and chest are the same pale as his cheeks, with little fallow-like spots on his thighs. His hooves and nose are dark brown.
Extra notable features:
- Alder has a surprising lack of presence when in a room, but this is on purpose. He's good at blending in, and only being noticed when he wants to be.
- Holding eyecontact with him can be a little unnerving, and he's probably not even looking at you when he does his staring. He's likely deep in thought... or he's been caught and hasn't noticed the correct social queue to look away.
- He has an energy about him akin to some kind of humming bird. Theres always something going on his head, and he's usually also always doing... something. Sometimes very odd things that will seem crazy until it comes up later in an investigation were he points out he was licking the skirting board to test for residue gunpowder at a murder scene.
- Generally a charming and endearing little deer. Its hard not to like his strange eccentric habits after getting to know him. But he never gets any less strange
Other
Origin: Eredia
Religion: Is far too busy to be thinking about what comes after a spectacular death. (Agnostic)
Morals: Lawful neutral. Alder is a keeper of the peace and a top sleuther, but... if he has to bend the rules a little bit to get to the truth, then... so be it.
Orientations: Demirom. He/him. Cis
First/Closest Dragon(s): Morningstar
Voice: Elequent, calculative, precice verbage. A surprisingly deep voice for someone with such a cute face, but no deeper then a normal male of his age.
Scent: Old leather seats, winter nights, metal (courtesy of Morningstar)
Clothing styles:
- His coat is a faded maroon colour and seems similiar to the milford coat in style. Regardless if he's wearing that though, he will always be wearing his bowtie. Its ribbons are long and tuck into the neck of his coat, and its a bright berry red with a single amber jewel in the center instead of the regular bow knot.
- Has been known to disguise himself to better blend in. Or... stand out. Whatever the mood needs.
In a future relationship with Riley after combining forces withthis search and rescue crew during a missing persons case, and never really seperating again.
Personality & History:
Shunned from his old job as a top detective for his... sometimes out of the box methods of sleuthing, Alder set up his own priviate buisness and sells his skills to just about anybody if the case catches his interest.
He's scarily intelligent, and that definitely effects his social skills, but he doesn't come off as snobbish which honestly is a blessing in itself. He is a very, very curious buck, and is usually pretty adept at getting down to the thick of it, even if the odds seem impossible.
He speaks many langauges, and makes it his buisness to learn all kinds of new skills and information least it some day become important, but... you can't beat a good cup of tea and a nice toasted berry bun with honey drizzle.
He's extremely close to his dragons, and he makes a home for himself in his own office about now. He's, uh... he lost his house to the baliffs a while back.
Right now, they get by on Morningstar's shed treasure scales, a hope and a prayer betwen cases. He wants to make a name for himself, to help people in need that the more regulated law officiers have abandoned, and his dragons are more then happy to lend a claw to that dream.
