R-180: Desdemona Edevane

Desdemona comes off first as someone unapproachable. She carries an air with her that makes others question whether or not they're allowed to speak to her or if she'll even listen. This first barrier is one of many, for Demona doesn't have a great interest in meeting and knowing others. Her one true hope is to return to her timeline to get revenge for the murder of her beloved, Ophelia. Though she knows the precise assassin, she was pulled away from her universe while in the process of rooting out a deeper conspiracy, and it has left her with an unending restlessness and a need to dole out the justice she feels they so richly deserve.

However, despite the fact that she doesn't want personal attachments, Desdemona is a warm person, once someone has managed to get themselves into her good graces. She is protective both physically and emotionally, and she tries her best to lead her friends down the best path for them... whether that's what they're looking for or not. Demona has a great capacity for cruelty that is best tempered by affection for the people around her. Though she drifts now, unanchored, it isn't unthinkable that she should settle down.

At the core of Desdemona's heart is a yearning to understand. Part of her feels safer neatly categorizing people, places, abstract ideas, and things into a system that makes sense. Understanding is different from accumulating knowledge, and in this way, she views the world through malleability and is able to change her own habits and adapt to her environment and thrive without having to worry about whether something should be possible.
