Zyanya's personality has been vastly shaped by her capture and subsequant captivity, vengence is what drives her, a powerful force that would likely consume her, if not for her intellegence and patience; been willing to allow her vengence to simmer while expanding the knowledge and tools she needs to gain her revenge. She does not forget, so no matter how long it may take she will get her venegence. She's always calculating, and is willing to let something slide in the present if it will benefit her later on. The young quetzal will always tell the truth, but it is what she doesn't say that should worry others.
Friendship is something she values, and guards closely, having lost one close friend when she was captured, and the other has been missing for years; her interactions with other of her kind varies, as long as they don't pry into her life too closely she doesn't mind, and is always grateful for their knowledge. Her interactions with all other sentient creatures varies on individuals basis, but generally she is distrustful of everyone...
Despite having no issues with her actual sight, Zyanya often has her eyes covered in her homid form, whether with ribbons or bandages, it is a tool, many think she's at a disadvantage as she cannot see, which means she often has the element of surprise.
